Jackie Elward is a community leader, educator, labor organizer, and proud immigrant who has dedicated her life to fighting for working families. In 2020, Jackie made history as the first Black woman elected to the Rohnert Park Council. In her time as Councilmember and later as Mayor, Jackie championed affordable housing, expanded services for the unhoused, and led public investments in transportation and clean energy.

Clarissa Cervantes is a working mother, businesswoman, and longtime community leader who currently serves as Council member for the City of Riverside. A proven champion for our community, Clarissa has worked tirelessly on the Riverside City Council to deliver results for people, standing up to warehouse developers, voting to stop rate increases, and creating a 5-year plan to reduce homelessness.

A lifelong Santa Ana resident and daughter of immigrants, Jessie has been a fearless champion for working families on the Santa Ana City Council—leading on affordable housing, environmental justice, and immigrant rights. With lived experience navigating housing insecurity and economic hardship, Jessie brings heart, grit, and unwavering commitment to the fight for a California where everyone can thrive.

Sarah Rascón is a native Angeleno from El Sereno raised by her immigrant grandmother and proudly shaped by the public school and social services system. Sarah’s dedication to sustainability and environmental justice led her to serve as the inaugural Urban River Program Officer before becoming the Deputy Executive Officer of Environmental Equity for the Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority (MRCA). She spearheaded the Upper LA River and Tributaries Revitalization Plan helping establish new natural parks and recreational opportunities with a prioritization for marginalized communities.
